Innovative Applications of Finite Element Modeling in Highway Structures Workshop

The workshop's goal is to advance the use of finite element analysis
throughout the highway community. Sessions will focus on such topics
as the design and analysis of bridges, impact analysis and crash simulation,
and bridge security.

International Conference on Highway Pavement Data, Analysis, and Mechanistic Design Applications
September 7-10, 2003, Columbus, OH
The forum will bring together engineers, researchers, and practitioners
from State highway agencies, FHWA, academia, the private sector, and
industry to exchange recent developments and findings on the structural
performance of flexible and rigid pavements. Topics covered will include
the validation, calibration, and implementation of mechanistic design
procedures.

Western Bridge Engineers' Seminar

The seminar is a biennial cooperative effort by FHWA and the State
transportation departments of Alaska, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon,
and Washington State. It allows government agencies, consultants, contractors,
educators, and suppliers to exchange information on subjects of current
interest in the design, construction, and maintenance of bridges.

Third International Symposium on HPC

Asphalt Rubber 2003

II, held in November 2001 in San Diego, California, are now available
on a new DC from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). National
Pavement Preservation Forum II: Investing in the Future covers
such topics as introducing new products and techniques, establishing
pavement preservation partnerships, integrating pavement preservation
into pavement management systems, and performing education and
outreach. The event, which was a follow-up to the 1998 Forum for
the Future, was sponsored by the Foundation for Pavement Preservation,
FHWA, and the California Department of Transportation.
