International Conference on Best Practices for Ultra-thin (UTW) and
Thin Whitetoppings (TWT)
April 12-15, 2005, Denver, CO
The
conference will review progress made in whitetopping technologies since 1992
and help identify best practices for selecting candidate projects and
designing, constructing, and repairing UTWs and TWTs. The conference is
targeted at pavement engineering and construction professionals who are
involved in various aspects of pavement design, construction, testing and
evaluation, and rehabilitation. The event is sponsored by FHWA, the Colorado
Department of Transportation, American Concrete Pavement Association,
Transportation Research Board, and the International Society for Concrete
Pavements.

Seventh International Symposium on Utilization of High-Strength/High-Performance
Concrete (HPC)
June 20-24, 2005, Washington, DC
The
symposium will bring together engineers and material scientists from around the
world to discuss topics ranging from the latest HPC applications to the most
up-to-date research. An optional tour of the Woodrow Wilson Memorial Bridge
Project will also be offered on June 24. The symposium is sponsored by the
American Concrete Institute, with co-sponsors, including FHWA, representing
more than 40 organizations from 14 countries.

2005 Value Engineering Conference
July 20-22, 2005, San Antonio, TX

conference will provide value engineering professionals with the opportunity to
share innovative perspectives and procedures, successful methods and models,
and pioneering strategies. Sessions will cover such topics as constructibility
issues, value engineering and design/build, and process improvement.

Eighth International Conference on Concrete Pavements
August 14-18, 2005, Colorado Springs, CO
This
conference will present information on new technologies related to the design,
construction, and rehabilitation of various types of concrete pavements. The
conference is targeted at pavement, materials, and geotechnical engineering
professionals. Topics will include concrete pavement analysis, design, and
construction; concrete materials and pavement performance; joint performance;
post-construction evaluation; and long-term performance. The event is sponsored
by the International Society for Concrete Pavements. Cosponsors include FHWA,
the American Concrete Pavement Association, and the Colorado Department of
Transportation.
