First North American Conference on the Design and Use of Self-Consolidating
Concrete (SCC)
November 12-13, 2002, Rosemont, IL
The conference will serve as a forum for discussing applications of
SCC and promoting its use in North America. Sponsors include the Center

National Transportation Symposium

First International Conference on Scour of Foundations

The conference will cover such topics as bridge scour, erosion of soils,

Tunnel Management System Workshop
November 18-19, 2002, Dallas, TX
The workshop will present a new tunnel management system that provides
guidance on preparing and conducting tunnel inspections, current procedures
for maintaining and repairing tunnel components, and a computer software
program to aid in collecting tunnel data and planning corrective and
preventive actions. The development of the new system was jointly sponsored
by FHWA and the Federal Transit Administration.

2002 FHWA Steel Bridge Conference for the Western United States

Southeast Concrete Alliance Network Forum
February 25-26, 2003, Raleigh, NC
The forum will feature a range of technical concrete paving topics,
such as early age cracking, high-volume reconstruction, maturity, and

of the latest concrete testing equipment will also be featured.

Asphalt Pavement Conference: Superpave 2003

This conference is being held in conjunction with the World of Asphalt
2003. Attendees will focus on the Superpave system's evolution and improvement
over the last decade, as well as what the future holds. Conference topics
include mix design and performance testing, construction applications,
and performance-related specifications.
