NPHQ 2005 Conference: Achieving Quality and Best Value
The National Partnership for Highway Quality's (NPHQ) 2005 Quality Conference, originally planned for New Orleans, Louisiana, will be held December 13-14, 2005, in Orlando, Florida. NPHQ brings together State, Federal, and highway industry leaders to encourage the use of quality practices that will improve safety and service for highway users. Featuring the theme, "Grounded in Quality: Ground Breaking Practices, Ground Gaining Programs," the conference's agenda will include presentations of case histories from highway agencies, leaders, and programs that are raising the bar on project delivery and performance. These success stories are being accomplished through public involvement, partnering, environmental mitigation, work zone management, and many other quality practices.
NPHQ will also hold a special session to help participants transform their projects using cutting edge programs now available from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and other organizations. Attendees will learn how to form a State Quality Partnership, accelerate construction, address the challenges of congestion, and access training and certification programs for workers, among other initiatives.
