Program Objectives

  • Enable Dynamic Positioning at the Centimeter Level throughout the NDGPS Network
  • Coexist with the current NDGPS Broadcast
  • Minimize the incremental cost of adding High Accuracy-DGPS to NDGPS Sites
    • Utilize existing broadcast antenna, reference stations, and site infrastructure
    • Incremental Cost ~$75K/ Existing Site

 

I want to try to put the broadcast aspects in the context of the program in general.  What we want to do is enable dynamic positioning at the centimeter level throughout the NDGPS network.  We want to coexist with the existing NDGPS broadcast and not impact the fidelity of the current NDGPS broadcast in any way.  We want to minimize costs of the modifications so that the feasibility of the program to be moved throughout the NDGPS network is kept high.
