Making Safety a Priority in Roadway Design

IHSDM Training Course

A two-day IHSDM Training Course is offered through FHWA’s National Highway Institute as Course Number FHWA-NHI-380071. The course includes classroom presentations and discussions as well as hands-on exercises in using IHSDM. Upon completion of the course, attendees will be able to:

  • Describe key capabilities and limitations of IHSDM.
  • Evaluate a two-lane rural highway using the IHSDM software.
  • Recognize when and how IHSDM can be used during the project development process.
